Hi, Steemers!
Works teams bosses has ego. And it's big. Mads Ostberg was booted at the end of the last season from his ex boss Malcolm Wilson (head of M-Sport).
This season Mads drives M-Sport prepared Ford Fiesta WRC 2017 but under the banner of M-Sport because FIA says there's no privateer that can drive new 2017 WRC cars outside works team banner.
So Mads had to enter WRC rallies under M-Sport banner even he has been booted at the end of last season from them.
Why M-Sport, most of people would ask? Because only M-Sport provides 2017 WRC cars for privateers at the moment and they sell it to them (I heard that price of the car is around 600k GBP + VAT).
So, Ostberg took his private Ford Fiesta WRC 2017 to Argentina and tested before the rally started. After that factory teams bosses started to argue why is he testing outside Europe because no works team can test outside of it?!
They said also he can give data from testing (or sell it) to his ex boss from M-Sport.
But all this is nonsense. It's just big bosses ego and nothing else.
It's good to be generous and help each other like some of people helped me and I never saw them in my life on rallies. And it's always like that. That's the good thing of humanity.
