Michael Laudrup is emerging as a favoured candidate for the coaching job inside Real Madrid's locker room.
The former Real star is available after leaving Al Rayyan this year, though has insisted he wishes to take a year off from the game.
Diario Gol says Real's senior players have discussed the Dane's appointment in a positive fashion, believing his style of management is similar to Zinedine Zidane.
The likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Marcelo and Sergio Ramos would all welcome Laudrup's arrival, convinced he wouldn't seek to overhaul the current squad and work to their strengths - just like Zidane.
In the wake of the Frenchman's resignation last week, Laudrup's agent Bayram Tutumlu said: "Last night, we did not know Zidane's plans. That's why it's brand new for everyone. But, of course, I've been in contact with people at the club, and Michael Laudrup is a candidate for the job."
