Both matches today featured the best part about the Knockout stage of the World Cup: shootouts!
Shootouts are always an exciting way to settle a tied game after 120 minutes of play.
The first game featured Spain vs Russia and ended with the hosting country advancing after the shootout settled the 1-1 tie.
The next game between Croatia and Denmark was also tied 1-1 after 120 minutes. The Croatian goalkeeper saved 3 shots to lead his team through the shootout.

Tomorrow's first match features Mexico vs Brazil. This promises to be a great one as we've already seen Mexico defeat Germany this Cup. The second match features Belgium vs Japan. I'm predicting Brazil and Belgium to advance without trouble.
Thanks for reading and enjoy the World Cup!
