Many teams would love to have a player that could do a little bit of everything. A player that could score, play defense, handle the basketball, run the floor and could make the extra pass as well. These gems are hard to find but when you are fortunate, you try to hang on to them. Larry Hughes is one of those players that had the skills to be a very good NBA player. With a career average of 14 points per game, Hughes could score the basketball (average 22 ppg with the Wizards in 2004). Larry was very athletic and a very good defender (lead the NBA in steals with 3 per game in2004). He could handle the basketball well and was a solid passer. He could play multiple positions (point guard, small forward and shooting guard). These impressive traits benefited Hughes to have a long 13 year career in the NBA.
