If you have been following NBA basketball at all, you will likely know one of the better players in some time has demanded a trade.
This isn't all that unusual in the NBA, but it is unusual when that star has been to the Finals multiple times, is a multi-year all star, and hasn't even reached the prime of his career yet.
We are talking about a player that feels he is being under-utilized on his current team and would like a change of scenery.
Irving could very well be an MVP candidate on a new team, much like James Harden was after he found a new home.
Where do you all think he will end up?
Irving gave a list of preferred destinations, but that likely won't amount to much as his current team has a responsibility to try and get the best assets in return for him that it possibly can, regardless of location.
So far the teams with enough assets to be able to give the Cavs what they are looking for in return comes to just 2 teams, the Celtics and the Suns.
Each of those teams has solid veterans, young exciting talent, and draft picks.
However, the Celtics don't really need a PG and the Suns are unwilling to empty their coffers for Irving.
You casual sports fans out there, where do you think Irving will end up by the time the season rolls around?
On the Celtics?
On the Suns?
On a different NBA roster?
Remains with the Cavs?
Let me know your thoughts below.
