Bayern Munich's mainstay goalkeeper Maunel Neuer has started back training with his club after a 15-week absence due to a foot injury. A metatarsal section fracture injury caused the 31-year-old goalkeeper to miss the end of the German Bundesliga season.
Before suffering the injury, Neuer had come into play when Muenchen lost 6-3 aggregate of Real Madrid in the quarterfinals of the Champions League 2016/2017.
During his pre-season Neuer, coach Carlo Ancelotti has used more goalkeeping power, such as Tom Starke, Sven Ulreich and young keeper Ron-Torben Hofmann and Christian Fruchtl. Bayern also suffered four defeats from the last five friendly matches.
"Under the guidance of goalkeeping coach Toni Tapalovic, the 31-year-old goalkeeper managed to complete his first goalkeeping training session," the statement released by Bayern via its official website.
