Am busy preparing a girls team of tennis players for a tennis tournament that is scheduled to take place in Fortportal this coming weekend on Saturday. These are very passionate about for the game of tennis.
Today i Made them to practice their serves, forehand and back hand ground strokes. Correcting their mistakes in order to ensure perfection and limited errors during their forth coming competition. In tennis its very essential to always do extensive practice before going into any competition in order to improve your physical fitness, technique and also for the purposes of curbing down the chances of making unforced errors while in the game.
Of recent I went to one of the tennis club and had a tennis challenge with some junior tennis player. I had taken quite a long time without doing any practice be it even jogging. It was a tight match in that this junior tennis player took the 1st set at a score of 6/2. I was almost being beaten 6/0 which was going to be an embarracement to me in the presence of the various viewers and cheerers. Most of these believe in me as a great legendary tennis player who is even still far better than the current junior ones. The reason I lost this set is also attributed to my reluctance and despise of the junior player.
I woke up in the next set and took it by 6/4. It was an intense one because i even strained my muscles a lot and i ended up acquiring some muscle pulls at the end of this second set. It was a very hot day with a very scotching sun which made me so thirsty and very sweaty while on the tennis court.
I played with each of them and played some small challenges of first to 10points where no one managed to beat me. haha..its because am coach. How can a student beat up his coach.
Tennis is a mind game as well as it requires one to think critically and wisely on where to place the ball. Therefore mental fitness is also very vital in tennis and also life as well.
