Moscow - After defeating Conor McGregor, Khabib Nurmagomedov targeted a new opponent to defeat. What he challenged was former boxing world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr.
"Come on, Floyd, we have to fight now," Khabib said on an Instagram video recorded by Leonard Ellerbe, who was none other than Executive President of Mayweather Promotions.
If it is true, this will be a highly anticipated duel. Khabib and Mayweather both have an invincible record, even though they come from a different 'world'.
The Russian fighter has 27 duel and won 27 victories. While the boxer from the United States 50 times went up the ring and also never lost.
Interestingly, they both defeated Conor McGregor. The Khabib won in round four last week, while Mayweather won TKO in round 10 in the fight that took place in August 2017.
"50-0 v 27-0, two people who have never lost, why not? Because there is only one king in the forest," continued Khabib quoted from the BBC.
"Of course I'm the king. Because he can't beat McGregor, but I can drop it easily," Khabib continued.
It is interesting to look forward to how Mayweather will respond to this challenge. It is not impossible that the duel of Khabib vs. Mayweather will also be held in a boxing ring and use boxing rules.
