I have tried SOOOO MANY SPORTS throughout my very active childhood. I was a soccer child when I was little, I ran cross-country and played soccer throughoutt middle school. I always enjoyed it, but only this year at 18 did I realize the true effect of sports.
I am going to begin by saying that I was the type of person who believes that running a mile is hard and not interesting. My father was very into athletics and he would run upwards of twenty miles per day. I found this pointless, yet everything changed a few months back.
I have begun by running small distances, at first I would run and walk as needed. There was an outside working on me, something in nature kept me going, I got a magical feeling of being able to accomplish anything. I have found exercise addicting, it is the reason I get up in the morning as I strongly believe that it gives me the energy to keep going and I know that it will always be there for me.
Basically, as a kid, I wanted to be different from my parents and now I realize how similar we are and it truly amazes me. These are photos I took for my brother and I wanted to share them since soccer will always have a special place in my heart even if I can no longer play it, but watching him do it will have to be enough.
