The Rams manage to crack my top twenty despite having a pretty rough 2022 where they only won five games. The good thing going for them is, they have been winning plenty in the five seasons prior, including winning the Super Bowl in the 2022/23 season.
Sean McVay has been the coach in LA for the past six seasons and despite this past five win season he's still 60-38 as a head coach. The guy is just a top notch coach. He is not only a Super Bowl Champ but he's also led the Rams to two NFC Championships and is a former Coach of the Year.
When healthy the Rams have a solid QB-WR duo in QB Matthew Stafford and WR Cooper Kupp. The only problem is both of them were injured last season and Kupp recently injured his hamstring again. But it doesn't appear crazy serious.
While there's plenty of good there's also some bad. It was just a year or two ago the Rams were saying 'screw those picks', flash to 2023 and the Rams picked an INSANE fourteen players in this past draft. By sheer odds at least one of those players should pan out.
The Rams were an older team that relied on a lot of star power, now it seems to be clear they need help and depth everywhere. I think that youth mixed with great coaching and other proven vets like the still lethal defensive tackle Aaron Donald could prove to be a good mixture for the Rams.
The Rams got humbled and punched in the mouth in 2022, I imagine they bounce back in 2023 but for now #20 is fair.
