Eduard Folayang failed to beat Eddie Alvarez's strength after defeating him by submission in the first round of ONE: Dawn of Heroes held at the Mall of Asia Arena.
The former ONE lightweight world champion started off well with Alvarez's punch and kick.
Alvarez got Folayang's back and there he scored and gave Team Lakay a fighter within 2:16 of the first round.
The winner is now set to enter the finals of ONE lightweight world grand Prix where he will face Saygid “Dagi” Arslanaliev.
