Dana White: “We Always Had a Great Relationship with Nate Diaz”
Despite the recent comments by Nate Diaz regarding numerous conflicts with the UFC, promotion president Dana White himself says that he has always been in a positive relationship with the fighter.
“Nate is one of those guys who can send anyone but never sends someone just like that,” White said in an interview on the latest Contender Series. “We never had personal conflicts with Nate, we always had a great relationship.”
At the same time, the president of UFC notes that when it comes to business, things get a little more complicated.
“It’s not easy to deal with him, but he is a good guy,” said the president of UFC. “No matter what you say about the Diaz brothers, when they give their consent and sign a contract, they will certainly appear in the cage.”
Nate Diaz is now preparing to be in a cage this Saturday to face UFC 241 lightweight champion Anthony Pettis in a co-event with UFC 241. The fight will take place in the welterweight division.
It is worth noting that Diaz will return to the octagon after a lengthy three-year break, which was preceded by two profitable fights with Conor McGregor at UFC 196 and UFC 202 in 2016.
