It is currently the FIFA Women's World Cup in France and at present, I am laying in bed watching England beating Sweden. It is after all 2.15am here in Thailand.
So have any of you sports fans been following it? The standard is poor if I'm honest, and I am only really watching it because it's England and because I'm missing football in general!
Thailand, of course, took an early bath after an opening game world record loss to the USA 13-0 but England have fared pretty well so far and look to be continuing their rich vein of form into this quarter-final.
Now its quite obvious that it doesn't get the viewing figures or quite arouse the passion like the regular World Cup does so why is that?
Well, I have to be brutally honest here and say that the standard is just not that good. It's not as quick, the skill levels aren't the same and it all seems a bit Sunday League. These are of course pro players now, it's great that the women's game is gaining popularity but like many traditionally 'men's' sports, its simply not as exciting when women play.
I prefer women's athletics, volleyball, swimming, skating and tennis amongst others (behave at the back) so it's not a sexism thing, I just prefer some sports when they are played by women, and some by men.
