Selling 2 players in 15 minutes

You all know the push messages you can sign into on your smartphone from certain apps. Well, I have reduced those pushes to a bare minimum, but this morning I got 3 push messages in 15 minutes by Sporza, a Belgian sports news broadcaster.

The first one said the following: "Club Brugge has sold winger, Arnaut Danjuma, to Bournemouth in the Premier League for a total of 18 million Euro." Wow, that is a big number for a Belgian club, was my first thought. Two minutes later, I get a message that Sporting Charleroi sold their striker, Osimhen, to Lille OSC in France for 12 million Euros. Again, wow!

Then exactly 12 minutes later: "Club Brugge has sold another player: defensive midfielder Marvelous Nakamba will be transferred immediately to Aston Villa for 12 million Euro. Together with Danjuma, Club Brugge cashes 30 million Euro in one day!" Wow, again, bis.

Now, the numbers of transfers have been going up all around the world, but this blows me off my feet. Two Belgian clubs cash 42 million Euro in one day, for a total of 3 players. That is nuts. Now, if they are doing a good deal, is beyond my comprehension, as I don't know what the sportive lookout internally is.

But it is a hell of a lot of money!
