This was the kind of behavior that Hive account@sportsmod had warned about. Anyone attempting to sell influence will stand a chance of being moved to the SPORTS penalty box and have their influence on the community dropped.

As Hive account@treze pointed out in another comment below this is not nearly as good of a deal for users as it would appear. 50/50 curation will mean this account will earn nearly 2200 while users only walk away with 100 SPORTS (2200/2=1100-1000 for bid.) This will likely be even worse if any of the Hive account@referee accounts were to downvote your post for abuse.
