It was a bad performance from the super eagles of Nigeria on the night of their first match in Russia.

Francis Uzoho (GK) , Abdullahi Shehu, William Troost-Ekong, Leon Balogun, Brian Idowu, Wilfred Ndidi, Oghenekaro Etebo, Victor Moses, John Obi Mikel (c), Alex Iwobi, Odion Ighalo.
The match kicked off 8:00pm WAT, the game was balanced in the first 25 minutes of the match but Nigeria was later dispossessed which allowed Croatia took chance to pressure the super eagles and conceded an own goal in the 32nd minute. It ended 1 - 0 half time.
After 15mins of break the second half Commended it all looks like the Super eagles is coming back to pick a point during the match, substitutes were made, but wasn't profitable. 18 minutes to end of the match a penalty was awarded for the Croatian which Luka Modric as their captain took responsibility of the team. It was a goal for Modric making it 2 - 0.
Though they both had good statistics. With Croatia had 53% ball possessions and Nigeria had 47% possession. They both gave their best on shots but they had minimal shots on Target with just 2shots On Goals. Croatia took more corners in the game beating Nigeria with 6-5. There weren't much challenges from the both striking force to have made the keepers stressed their self.
I hope this is a challenge for the Super Eagles of Nigeria to be back on their track if only they can win the remaining two games ahead in the group stage so as to ensure qualification into the next round.
