Chelsea reportedly had sent an offer to Juventus to bring Gonzalo Higuain. The Blues called thrust Rp 1 trillion. Quoted by British media such as Daily Mail and Metro, Chelsea offered a proposed bid of 59.2 million euros, or about Rp 1 trillion.
Higuain is said to be the main target of manager Maurizio Sarri.
The two sides now stay in negotiations by waiting for Nicolas, Higuain's agent and brother, to return home from Argentina. Reportedly, Chelsea boss Roman Abramovich flew straight to Italy to help complete the transfer.
In addition to Higuain, Chelsea also reportedly bid on defender Daniel Rugani, with a total of thrusting 100 million euros (Rp 1.6 trillion) for both players. But the Old Lady called not want to remove the 23-year-old defender. Juventus claimed to be in need of money, considering having just spent a lot of money to bring Cristiano Ronaldo. The Bianconeri fished out 100 million euros.
While Chelsea needed Higuain to strengthen his attack line. To provide a place, Chelsea is said to be ready to release one of the strikers between Alvaro Morata, Michy Batshuayi, and Olivier Giroud. Higuain targeted Sarri considering the two had worked together while still in Naples. In 2015/2016 season, 30-year-old striker was able to score 38 goals from 42 appearances under the coach's care.
