Barcelona finally has leveled points with League rival Real Madrid after they were held at Camp Nou by Girona. Barcelona topped the table after match day 4 results due to Madrid playing a draw that weekend but they are now points leveled with goal differences separating them.
Barcelona had no choice than to share points with the visiting team after playing 2-2. It was a tough one for Barcelona as they struggled with ten men after Clement Lenglet got a red card in the 35th minutes of the match.
The match couldn't have ended a lost for the home team but Gerard Pique was the team savior. Lionel Messi opened the score line in the 19th minutes of the first half, the goal gave the home team the lead and we were all probably expecting a massacre but it turned out to be a dream that won't come through after Lenglet red card.
The visitors got an equalizer with Cristian Stuani goal in the 45th minute, he again scored in the 51st minute to give his side the lead for the first time in the match.
At 2-1, Barcelona had issues going forward because the visitors showed that they wanted to score more goals. Luckily for the home team Gerard Pique gave Barcelona the equalizer in the 61st minute of the second half.
Both sides struggled to get more goals but none was recorded till the referee blew the final whistle.
