Coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr has released the final list of 23 players who will play for the Nigeria national side at the FIFA Russia World Cup, which begins on 14 June.
Two players who initially made the 25-man squad that played England in a friendly match on Saturday have been dropped. They are the duo of Ola Aina and Mikel Agu. They will not have the opportunity to represent the nation in Russia in the world cup tournament that kicks off in few days.
The list is coming a day before the deadline set by FIFA for the submission of the final list of 23-man squad for all 32 teams that would be participating in the World Cup. The deadline was fixed for June 4.
Remember that Nigeria had also complied with the 14 May deadline that had been set for the submission of provisional list of 30 players.
Nigeria kicks off their campaign to lift the trophy for the first time when they take on Croatia in June 16.
