Under the Portuguese, it was majorly about defending and trying too counter. It worked on very few occasions. Many a times, it backfired. That's because Manchester United are not used to playing that way. That was what Paul Pogba - a product of Manchester United system, knowing the ins and outs- was trying to tell the coach during a training session. The Portuguese however would not have his players show him how things should be done. In the end, Pogba was relegated to the bench and saw out four matches from there. That's apart from being branded a virus.
Now, with Ole Gunnar, things have changed and it's almost unimaginable seeing the way the Frenchman is playing. He's already scored four goals this season. His inch perfect pass to Rashford for the goal against Tottenham was nothing short of world class.
United have won six matches in six under the new coach. It's surprising that it's the same team, no additions, that the self-proclaimed 'special one' had and couldn't get the results. This is Manchester United. Winning is the tradition.
