The Old Trafford club reportedly made a bid in the region of sixty million pounds for the Brazilian. This is most likely going to be a loan bid as we have been informed that the interim manager would only be allowed to make loan signings till the end of the season.
Douglas Costa was a revelation in the summer World cup and threatened opposition with his pace and really good crossings into the box. It was only this season that the Brazilian made his loan move from Bayern Munich permanent. He cost Juventus forty million pounds.
Costa haven’t featured in many games for the Bianconeri this season. He has only played 16 matches in all competitions for the Italian side this season and only 12 in the domestic league.
The player would be an immediate fit into the Manchester United squad as the Old Trafford outlet have lacked a natural right winger for some time now.
The move though would be subject to sanctioning by Ed Woodward who now handles the signing of players since the departure of Jose Mourinho.
