Valentino Rossi Pole Possisition
Yamaha Movistar rider Valentino Rossi seized pole position in Italy 2018 MotoGP qualification. Rossi beat Jorge Lorenzo and Maverick Vinales.
At the session held at Autodromo Mugello Circuit, Saturday (02/06/2018) night local time, Suzuki Andrea Iannone racer is actually championed to gain pole position.
Iannone even had time to record a qualifying lap with a time of 1 minute 46.347 seconds. But, Rossi who previously was in fifth position was able to record a faster time of 1 minute 46.208 seconds to seize pole position.
The success of Rossi grabbing a head start was greeted with joy by the public Mugello who the majority indeed support The Doctor.
Iannone even had to sag to fourth position after his time past Ducati Lorenzo rider and Rossi teammate, Vinales who completed the top three qualifiers.
After Iannone was Danilo Petrucci who finished fifth in the qualifying session by a margin of 0.237 seconds from Rossi in first place.
First-ranked standings Marc Marquez had to settle for sixth place finishes followed by Andrea Dovizioso, Cal Crutchlow, Johann Zarco and Alex Rins.
