So far I've created two level 4 guilds dedicated to herons-unlimited accounts, and added the accounts to them. We're already on the verge of passing the 30-account limit for a single guild, so I thought it was a good idea to get two up and running as quickly as possible.
As a reminder of the guild structure:
Costs
In order to recoup the costs of guilds and allow us to upgrade them and build new ones as is appropriate, as well as keep everyone profitable, we will be implementing a progressive guild tax on all DEC earnings of (quest lodge level - 1) * 0.004. See table below:
| Lodge Level | DEC Bonus | Tax |
|---|---|---|
| 0 | 0 | 0 |
| 1 | 1% | 0 |
| 2 | 2% | 0.4% |
| 3 | 3% | 0.8% |
| 4 | 4% | 1.2% |
| 5 | 5% | 1.6% |
| 6 | 7% | 2% |
| 7 | 9% | 2.4% |
| 8 | 12% | 2.8% |
| 9 | 15% | 3.2% |
| 10 | 20% | 3.6% |
Profitability
We expect that from lodge level 2-5 being a member of the guild will give you a net profit of approximately 1% of the DEC earned in play, with the profitability increasing beginning at lodge level 6 as the DEC bonus increases faster than the tax.
Opt-out
While this system should make being in the guild profitable for everyone (except possibly me), card owners may choose to opt out of both the tax and the guild if they so choose. Message me on Discord if you wish to opt out for your account(s).
Launch
This system will go into effect immediately, though since neither guild has a level 2 lodge yet you won't see any immediate effect. The first guild should hit the tax threshold in about 24 hours, with the second one taking somewhat longer.
Accountability
The DEC wallet of the account will be used solely to collect guild taxes. The account history is available publicly (though very awkwardly) here. Hopefully either Steem-Engine will add the ability to display that data on their website or I will find some time to build one for us.
