So, lets try out something different this time, I will be analyzing the stats and play / strategies for the Weekly Share Your Battle Cards up to about Gold Rank. I will go over each level card, and talk about its position within its league. I'm starting with Last week's Share Your Battle monster: Electric Eels.
With this COMMON, Promo card, I will go over the following Levels specifically: Level 1, 3, 5, and 8. This bad boy costs about $2.80 a card, although this is largely due to the sudden influx of players vying for SPS.
Bronze League (Level 1)
Stats
Electric Eels costs 4 Mana, and is a Water monster, with 1 Melee Attack, 3 Speed, and 5 Health. This makes it a relatively low cost, diverse attacker that has the ability Reach Making it attack from 2nd position.
Summoner
As a Water Summoner, none of the Water Summoners really benefit the Electric Eels specifically. (Outside of Legendary Summoners of Course!) As such, the most ideal low cost Summoner is actually the Dragon Summoner: Drake of Darnak for increased tanking ability with +1 Armor or Daria Dragonscale for increased Melee attack. Your choice here will depend on what benefits the team as a whole the most. Electric Eels is not a centerpiece to a team, and as such, it is not the monster you should focus on when choosing a summoner. Just know that these are the ones that benefit it specifically.
Position
Electric Eels is a great fast melee attack from the 2nd position. At Level 1, I believe that Position 2 is the ideal spot, and position 1 is sub-optimal but acceptable. Any other placement is likely not beneficial to your team composition.
Bronze - Silver League (Level 3)
Stats
Level 2 Increases Electric Eels' speed to 4 making the Electric Eels a VERY fast Water card, which are notoriously slow overall. This alone isn't a huge deal, but upon reaching Level 3, it gains 1 Melee attack, becoming 2 Melee. This is a really pivotal moment for this card, increasing its viability heavily in both Bronze and Silver.
Roles
Its the same role as before, just better. A faster, harder attacker from the second position. Electric Eels has one role, but it's GOOD at that role. Hit fast, support the tank with melee.
Summoner
No change to Summoners. I think I would put the +1 Armor as more crucial than the +1 Melee in this situation, as it allows the Electric Eels to survive a single attack of any kind before losing health. This really helps with it performing better as a last line of defense for your rangers/casters.
Position
This bad boy is Position 2 all the way. In low mana battles, it might do well in Position 1 with its boosted attack, OR with an enraged chicken to block the first attack!
Silver - Gold League (Level 5)
Stats
Level 4 Gives it 1 additional health, and level 5 gives it Blast, causing it to deal 1 damage to the target behind the target it attacks.
Roles
With Blast, Electric Eels is now essentially chain lightning striking your opponents, with a fast 2 damage strike to the first target, and a 1 damage strike to the next target. Against Enraged Chickens, it's a KO and then 50% damage piercing through to the next target, essentially countering chicken entirely.
Summoner
Same as before. Its still a toss up between additional armor and additional melee damage, but either will benefit this little critter. You just have to decide if you want him to be a better off-tank, or a better damage dealer. (Hint: If your opponent goes Fire and melee focused, you'd want the armor)
Position
This card is great in its simplicity here: Position 1 or 2, emphasis on 2!
Gold League (Level 8)
Stats
Level 6 gives +1 Speed, Level 7 gives +1 Melee, and Level 8 gives +1 Speed and +1 Health. At 3 Melee, 6 Speed, 7 Health, with Blast and Reach, this is the MAX Level of this card.
Roles
This is a really solid, very fast attacker from the second position. His role is simple, and while he doesn't have much flexibility, he's good at what he does. A LIGHTNING fast reach attacker from position 2.
Summoner
Since he only really focuses on this one role, his summoners do not really change. However, since we're talking a max level card, you probably have a legendary summoner. Maybe even the right one! Lir Deepswimmer is an absolute beast of a card to pair with this. Double Attack, 2 Armor, AND Blind. Now this thing is Tanky, hits HARD, costs 4 Mana, AND hits a second enemy for 2 damage each turn ON TOP of that. If you wanted to see this card become an absolute monster for 4 mana, that's your card.
Position
This card is great in its simplicity here: Position 1 or 2, emphasis on 2!
Example Battle: Electric Lawnmower of Death
Here's an example battle: Electric Eels: An Absolute Blast
I think this battle really lets Electric Eels shine, its blast, fast reaching attacks at Level 5 allow it to be the core of the team, and Goblin Mech is an excellent tank to place in front of it, creating what is essentially an electric lawn mower of death. In fact, he an Goblin Mech were my only Level 4 and 5 cards. I think this battle would've been harder if the opponent had a Level 4 and 5 card as well, but I believe Electric Eels would've pulled through regardless in this particular matchup!
