It's been a pretty productive day. I've made it to the Diamond League. The training wheels are off at this point, though, so it remains to be seen how much further I'll be able to make it until I can upgrade my cards a little more. I've been giving some thought to renting cards, but that's kind of a waste of resources considering you end up not owning anything at the end of it, and the DEC you can earn isn't exactly worth a ton at the moment.
It works out to our advantage that DEC isn't worth very much when we want to buy packs, though, I suppose. I learned that the hard way... I was buying packs with some of my powered-down Steem and then I realized I could just buy DEC with the Steem and buy packs that way instead.

This was an easy win. Why would you play the healer card in a Back to Basics battle? It doesn't do shit at level 1 with those rules.
