More Summoners Signing Up at Mt. Mox
A spokesperson for the Wizards held a press conference today in Daera, the small town near Port Mox. This representative spoke at length about the amount of summoners that have been signing up for the tournaments.
We have developed a new system for bringing summoners into the community. This process is facilitated by android devices. By which we of course mean we have pressed several of the old model rusty androids into service. The additional capacity has been quite welcome and we are pleased to note that the ranks of summoners have grown drastically.
Not all summoners have seen this development as positive however. There have been multiple reports of criminal activity regarding these sign up procedures. According to several security officials, these scam artists have been showing up on the rolls as regular signups. The giveaway has been the names chosen by these scam artists.
The Constabulary would like us here at the Gazette to remind everyone to do your own research before investing in anything that promises massive returns on your investment with little to no risk. If it is too good to be true, it probably isn't true at all.
Local Vintner Develops New Type Of Spirit
Jorryn Aelhouser, owner and master vintner at The Everwind Winery, has recently devised an entirely new type of alcoholic drink. He is calling this new drink Sunwine and says it is far more potent and wonderfully more flavourful than standard wines.
While he did not go into details on the composition, The Gazette did learn that the beverage is fermented in three separate steps. The result is a higher alcohol content with a smoother finish.
Our interviewer was not able to sample any of the beverage but was assured the first available samples will be sent to our offices. We are very appreciative of Mr. Aelhouser and cannot wait to hear more about this intriguing new drink.
Update on Graffiti in Beluroc
Some astute readers may recall, in issue #2, we covered a story where strange cryptic messages were being graffitied on building in the market district. There have been some developments; the messages have continued becoming more and more cryptic.
The Cipher Comes."
"Dates. Dreams. Diamonds."
"Winking... Minotaur..."
The messages, as now can be seen, have expanded to more then six variations. Whoever, or whatever, is responsible for this seems to be becoming more and more complex. Experts remain stumped and local merchants are increasingly frustrated with the cleaning of the Azmare ink that has proven to be completely unremovable.
Despite the obvious trouble being caused, it is difficult to say all the freshly re-painted buildings in Beluroc's market district certainly have made the entire neighbourhood look fantastic.
House Kell Suffers More Losses
In a continuation of seemingly bad luck of late, several House Kell warehouses suffered sever fire damage over the last week. This is the second major conflagration to strike the family in the last month.
For those unaware, the manor house belonging to House Kell was nearly completely destroyed in a previous fire. Authorities have not yet found anything significant in their ongoing investigation. The local rumour mill, however, has been running rampant with all manner of theory.
Local gossip and well-known theorist, Taeryn Riel, has been petitioning the Council of Barons to put an end to the plot. When asked for details on this alleged plot, Riel had the following to say:
It is clear to me, and to anyone with enough mind to see what clearly is before them, that House Kell is involved with some horrendous things. The way the fires have been set speak more of someone seeking revenge or a sort of divine punishment.
Currently, despite the assertions above, there is no evidence of a plot against House Kell. The signs presently seem to point to a series of unfortunate events and not, in fact, any concerted effort to attack the noble family.
Time will tell ultimately. The Gazette will be here every step of the way to keep you, the citizens of Beluroc and beyond, informed of ongoing events.
