So I powered up 700 Steem for Steem Power up Day. My post about the UX on Steem so far has been resteemed 29 times, and now that I'm officially a Steem bigshot, I figure I should lead by example 😋
The truth is, I believe in Steem. One of the comments on that post mentioned the tribal culture here on Steem. It's definitely a thing, but I think it's inevitable because once you get it, once you REALLY get it, a switch flips, and you can't ignore the potential that's here. We all wouldn't mind being rich, and that's great, but that's not what gets me excited. If I had to summarize what does...
World domination.
It sounds like a joke, and at this point in our development, it is one, but I can see it. I can see a future fork where Steem is a pillar of the human experience. I can see it dramatically shifting the meaning of what is and isn't valuable, because here we make that determination, the people do. THAT is POWER.
There's all these boxes that we need to check, but they're all super doable. Easy user experience, instant liquidity, businesses accepting Steem outright, SMT tokens which will expand the ecosystem, communities which will help connect people, etc. This is all infrastructure. Once we get past this infrastructure stage, and we start to thrive, this is going to be an unstoppable 8000 pound gorilla where people won't realize how they lived without it. "People used to just give up all their data and content for free??? Your generation was crazy Dad" This is coming. So Happy SPUD! Please consider my suggestion for our new tagline...
Steem. Our goal is world domination. 😃
