I had a bit of extra fiat that might have been wasted on frivolous things like food or a roof over my head so better than throwing it down those bottomless pits, I spent it on 7 Litecoin which I then converted into 1416.753 Steem.
A while back, I posted about SteemWorld and how @steemchiller deserves our support and that I’d purchased 50 #steembasicincome units for him. Today, I bought 50 more for him:
In various posts and comments I’ve mentioned how much I like the fact that when you’re buying units by default you’re helping to strengthen Steemlandia’s ecosystem because you’re simultaneously buying units for yourself and for others.
So in addition to the 50 units for today, I bought 5 units for each of these 30 Steemians:

I’ve done these SBI giveaways to multiple accounts several times now. I try to shuffle up the names a bit, so there are some names I’ve done before with some new names this time around. If you’re not on the list this time around, you might be on it next time. I hope to do this at least one more time before I retire two months from now. After that my monthly fiat stream gets pared down, so SBI buys will become more sporadic.
Having some liquid Steem on hand can come in handy, but I powered up much of the rest in celebration of Steem Power Up Day:
