Thats possible. There are programs behind the device that we do not see, if intentionally was written by the programmer. The best approach is to turn off your wifi or internet access if not using it. Never trust the INTERNET.

Actually not only Samsung products. Other brands like Sony, iPhone and other smart gadgets which has Voice recignition feature are doing the same thing to its users. To prevent it from monitoring you, deactivate or turn off its Voice Recognition feature. And if you do not want your whereabout is known or monitored, turn off the 'Location' feature of your mobile phone.
