So it seems that D23 kicked off tonight, and among the first images to surface are some shots of a scale diorama of the new Star Wars Land that is under construction. Allegedly, these will be all connected, so you get to experience the best of the featured worlds.
I'm not gonna lie, I will be almost 43 when it opens in 2019, and if I can muster the funds to make the trip, I am going to cry like a little kid when I set foot onto the Tatooine set. I have been a die hard fan of the universe, that is almost as old as I am, my entire life.
Say what you will about Disney and their handling of the Lucasfilm properties, the fact that they are making my childhood come to life, in the most literal sense, means the world to me. I hope I can experience it one day.
