Ain't it a Blessing??
Or so I thought... I was actually on a business trip to the beautiful city of Seattle the week of the Status.im ICO and spent all day sending Ether tokens from my MEW account to the Status Smart Contract for tokens lol. After hours of attempting this feeble task, I was finally successful in sending my tokens and getting back the SNT token.
At the time, the ICO pricing costs came out to be 1 SNT token = 0.038 USD (of 3.8 Cent). I felt pretty fortunate to be one of the persons able to get a piece of the pie.
HitBTC IOUs
So many of you know how HitBTC likes to "pre-trade" tokens in the form of an IOU. It's not a scam, but very misleading and this was only my 2nd ICO I had participated in where HitBTC had the coin available for inter-exchange trading. Essential they just created a new supply of a toke out of thin air and allowed people to buy and sell them within the exchange, never being able to withdraw these tokens at all. They would only open up the token's wallet well after the ICO had completed and the token is trading on real exchanges and real prices.
The Exit
So I ended up selling all of my Status tokens to use as dry-powder for the True Flip ICO which ended up saving me from loosing money.
I exited Status in three sale events:
- 90000 SNT @ 6 cent
- 34000 SNT @ 5.6 cent
- 40000 SNT @ 4.2 cent
Feedback/Questions
- How many of you participated in this ICO?
- And finally, is Status' price performance just a by-product of the overall downturn in the market?
