Hello everyone who reads my blog! 💙🥰💛
I promised a post about art.🎨
It will! BUT! Special! I want to show you this day! May 19, but 4 years in a row before the war in Ukraine.
This is a special day. Do you know why?!?! It is a holiday today. Vyshyvanka Day is a holiday designed to preserve and popularize the original traditions of creating and wearing ethnic embroidered Ukrainian clothing.
I'm the second in this photo, a curly-haired girl in an embroidered shirt.
I liked this holiday.
The main purpose of the holiday is the preservation of Ukrainian national values and their popularization among young people and the general population. The holiday invites every Ukrainian to commit a simple act - to put on an embroidered shirt and go to work or study in it, emphasizing their involvement in the Ukrainian cultural tradition.
On this day, at the initiative of students, schoolchildren, public and cultural figures, concerts, marches of embroidered shirts, competitions, parties, and fairs are held.
It was me two years ago, during the Day of Embroidery, I held a master class in the city park, in my beloved Mariupol. We cut out shirts from paper and the children had to draw patterns for their vyshyvanka.
I know that you thought that there is no art here. But I don't agree. It was my favorite work, my favorite Art Center. In it I created and did art for 6 years.
The second teacher is Evgenia. She was my friend. Now I can't find it. She hasn't been in touch since the start of the war. She and her mother lived very far from me, I did not have the opportunity to check how she was.
Several photos were taken from the site.
