my semi-retreat
I've been on the fence a bit regarding the STEEM platform ever since Steemit Inc killed , and with it my main reason to work on the txjsonrpcqueue (an intended multi python version and multi async framework replacement for the asyncsteem and asyncsteem3 python libraries), with a poorly implemented rate limiting implementation for the public API server. After that, I considered the EIP to be a kick in the teeth for a huge part of the community and to wide spread crypto investors. I used to have my stake spread among several accounts just to be able to have my 100% vote exceed the dust treshold and I hated it. I abandoned txjsonrpcqueue, I abandoned my steemsense project, I abandoned my utopian tutorials, and retreated to my creative
account and a bit later to #creativecoin.
All and all I became a whole lot less active. The platform had given me an amazing start and the opportunity to get my STEEM first novel, it's cover art, illustrations and Spanish translation funded and it's editing crowd funded, and I loved it for that, but as a dev and a small wide spread investor, I wasn't a happy camper anymore. I felt like two people, who loved the platform, and
who was starting to hate it.

Then the whole Steemit Inc Justin thing started happening, and started mocking
: See, you wanker, I told you so, didn't I?
Needles to say that when Hive started solidifying I wasn't sure what to do. The me wanted to just hide out on #creativecoin, hoping things would blow over. The
in me wanted to try and convince the Hive folks to not make things personal and to rebase and replay in order to fork out ninja mined stake in a much more fundamental way and make a clean start that I as dev and small wide spread investor could get behind.
Then and
started communicating, really communicating. Could they reconcile their views? What was up with Steem-enginge, where would it end up?
was silent on the issue, so
jumped to the conclusion: This smells like insider trading, why would
choose not to pick sides now if not to make market moves ?
my apologies to
With this post I want to apologize to for assuming financial intends in communicating plans for Steem-enginge.
posted this blog post on the STEEM block chain yesterday that clarified a lot and proved the conclusions I jumped to terribly wrong. My sincere apologies for communicating my doubts publicly, and kudus on how you are handling this right now.
Moving to hive now.
With the new info from , and with earlier statements made by
, I'm now not just confident I should move to hive from my
identity. I'm going to try to bring
back to life as well. I'm going to take my time though and do it right. My plans right now:
- Updating my ebook preface on all main channels to mention that the supportive STEEM community that allowed me to create and publish my book now continues on hive.
- Stop my creativecoin power down, and restake powered down stake.
- Continue my STEEM power down, then either sell and buy hive to put into my
account or buy more creativecoin on STEEM assuming it will count towards a creativecoin airdrop on hive.
- Find an active curator on creativecoin who would want my CCC stake delegated untill creativecoin comes available on hive. If you are or know a curator on creativecoin with a love for fiction and poetry, drop me a message, we should talk.
- I won't be claiming STEEMSENSE on the Hive version of Steem-enginge, and I'll won't be using the domain either. I'll make a new token with a name that doesn't refer to STEEM in it's name and will revive the project though, but not any time soon.
- When things settle down, and public API endpoints become available, I'm going to allocate time again to work on the txjsonrpcqueue library project. The
in me is still a skeptic, but I think hive deserves my attention as a Dev as much as it plus creativecoin deserve my devotion as an author.
- Once creativecoin becomes available on hive, I'll pick up curating fiction and maybe poetry again.
