Today marks a new chapter in our lives. Sadly the school that my wife and I has been attached to for the last 11 years has finally closed its doors. More about that in another post. This is about the big move! We would be finally getting a piano of our own so that we can teach from home. Our previous boss was kind enough to sell one of the school's piano to us.
I woke up excited knowing that we're going into unknown territory. It might be challenging and it's different compared to when we first started working as back then we didn't have 2 little mouths to feed. This time we can't afford to mess up.
I made sure the piano was nicely wrapped. The movers were really professional as well. The piano had to go through a narrow flight of stairs from 2 stories above. After a nervous ordeal, we were finally on our way home.
We were so excited to see a piano finally in the house! We never even owned a piano during our university years. Still remember the days we had to fight to use the practice rooms at the university, or even stay back till the university closed.
When I was sending the movers off, I got a phone call from my wife. It was one of the most 'shocking news' I've got recently. I BROUGHT HOME THE WRONG PIANO! This actually belongs to my ex-boss. My oh my! Money down the drain. Got to move this piano back, and navigate another piano down the narrow flight of stairs. All this when we're supposed to save money to brace the unknown future. Talk about not messing up.
Took me awhile to pick up the courage to pen this down, which I know one day I will look back and laugh. Shout out to for being so supportive. You're the best!
