After the last 3 unusual gameweeks we will have a mostly normal gameweek once GW 34 starts.
Brighton and Cardiff will be playing twice this week.
Liverpool is currently leading, they have one more match played than City though.
Chelsea seems to be making a comeback with 3 victories in a row. Thanks to their latest success they have climbed to the third place. The difference between third and sixth is still very narrow with United being 5 points behind.
On the lower side of the table Burnley seems to be getting away from relegation with their second victory in a row, whereas Cardiff is still 5 points behind Southampton and Brighton, who has only played 31 matches so far.
The first game of the gameweek will be Leicester against Newcastle, the foxes have won 4 matches in a row. Their recent improvement with the arrival of Brendan Rodgers has been amazing so far and they are the third best in form. I think Leicester should beat Newcastle.
Cardiff will be playing twice this week, their first match will be a crucial one against Burnley, a direct relegation rival. Cardiff is going downhill on form and Burnley the other way around, also Cardiff is usually weaker away from home.
The second match will be between the two teams playing twice, namely Brighton and Cardiff. Brighton is usually stronger at home but they are quite unpredictable
Brighton will also be playing against Bournemouth. The cherries are usually weaker away from home.
Spurs will be playing their third match at their new stadium against Huddersfield. Unfortunately for them they lost Harry Kane and Dele Alli due to an injury.
Fulham will be playing against Everton.
Southampton will be hosting Wolves at St. Mary’s. The saints are doing pretty good considering their current position. Wolves is usually weaker on the road and they tend to play better against stronger teams.
United will be playing against West Ham. The Hammers are usually weaker away from home. United might have lost their last 2 matches against PSG and Wolves, but they are on better form than the Hammers.
City will be visiting Crystal Palace, this will be a tough match for Palace as City seems fixture-proof so far. Palace has also an away bias, thus City shouldn’t have a problem winning this match.
Watford will be hosting Arsenal on Monday night. Arsenal is surprisingly weak on the road and one of the best teams at home. I personally think Watford could have a decent chance of winning.
Anfield will be hosting the most entertaining match of this gameweek, namely Chelsea against Liverpool. A victory for both teams will be crucial, as Liverpool must keep its form if they want to have a chance at winning the league, whereas Chelsea needs to hold on to the champions league spots. Chelsea gave a rest to most of their first team players in the Europa League, thus they shouldn’t rotate. Hudson-Odoi and Loftus-Cheek have been getting more playtime as of recently and they should play against Liverpool as well
Possible starting lineups:
Liverpool: Allison, Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Van Dijk, Milner, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Keita, Salah, mane, Firmino
Chelsea: Kepa, Azpilicueta, Rüdiger, Luiz, Marcos Alonso, Jorginho, Kante, Loftus-Cheek, Hudson-Odoi, Hazard, Higuain
Remember that the next gameweek will be a double gameweek, so you might want to start preparing for that as soon as possible. Good Luck!
