Apparently I'm not the only one that's noticed an uptick in activity on the Steem blockchain. I've seen a whole bunch of "I'm back" posts and comments recently. Many of the are great content creators that I enjoy.
I've also seen a lot of "hey Steem, let me introduce myself" type posts, and some of them are just stunning. If you don't already know, you can see them on the #Introduceyourself tag.
The Steem blockchain itself is a beast. It's capable of handling an incredible amount of transactions at blistering speed. Since the crypto winter began, the system just has just been sitting there like a Formula-1 car on a go-cart track.
Cyrpto summer is coming when all cryptocurrency blockchains will be put to the test. People will see one of the super powers of Steem when this time comes. When pitched agains't other well known cryptos and transaction that take seconds on Steem start to take minutes, if not hours on other platforms.
I've played around with various cryptos and seen transaction speeds that are laughable compared to Steem. Even LTC that's supposed to be "Lite" is pretty heavy compared to Steem. Don't even get me started on the world's slowest grandpa - Bitcoin haha.
There's also the free transactions aspect. Resource credits vs actually paying bits of your crypto for a transactions. The choice is obvious. I actually had this discussion with a crypto entrepreneur a few months back. He owns a collection of ATMs, and we were chatting about how he deals with the transaction fees. I think he had difficulty getting his head around "free" transactions.
There are so many things the outside world doesn't know about Steem. People are going to start having "aha! moments" as they figure it out.
We have been quite lucky to find this platform early I think. Yes, some of us have been overzealous with the investment during the last bull market, :), but the good times are ahead, not behind us.
Peace and Love ✌🏿
