When I started on Steem on April 30ish (I opened my account on April but I started posting a few days later) I saw the Crypto mining through posts as a way to pay for my low budget travel style. I sold every Steem Backed Dollar my posts made, almost as soon as I claimed them and, I was constantly powering down - because my posts weren´t making enough liquid rewards to actually be able to move around with tht amount of daily cash.
During 2017 and the beginning of 2018 I was posting daily and getting noticed by OG big Steem players, especially by ,
,
,
,
,
,
, and many many others (don´t want this post to become a shoutout opst, sorry for not typing everyone´s name), but there were also some dolhins involved in my Steem growth such as
,
,
,
among others. Thanks to them, I was able to get the rewards I was getting. If you dont follow them, go follow them now!!
The point is, I was getting around 10 SBD daily and 10 Steem per post, which I powered down. Not bad if you consider I was traveling through central america spending on average, $15 bucks daily.
But then I got more involved with our blockchain and read a lot about crypto and its future. I spoke with many whales and crypto connossieurs and I realized I was making a big mistake. I shouldn´t be selling, I should actually be buying and stacking steem as much as I could and posting as frequently as I could and, every Steem sold at less than $50 dollars, would be a big big mistake.
I decided to stack as much steem as possible and to set a short term goal: 100,000 Steem.
Very ambitious. I know, I know. But hey, you know what they say, aim for the stars and If you don´t make it, at least you are already in space. Or something like that, I don´t really remember how it goes, but you get the drill.
The reason I was hesitant to write this post is, I´m a low budget traveler and I like going to 3rd world countries or, if you may, not so safe countries where, if word got out that I have X amount of Steem - at $100 usd per steem in a few years... thats a lot of money - who knows if that would be troublesome or inconvenient for me, to say the least.
But to hell with it. I think it´s more important to make this statement and to tell you I´m all in on Steem and I still believe that our coin will moon.
To this day, I hold Steem in the following accounts:
| Account | Amount |
|---|---|
| Anomadsoul | 11,900 |
| Ocdb | 21,300 |
| Steemonboarding | 3,500 |
| ocd-witness | 6,000 |
| cameraman | 2,900 |
| worldcup-russia | 1,400 |
| Total | 47,000 |
Now, I´m note telling you how much steem I have to rub it in your face or to brag about it. I´m telling you this because I want to back my statement. I´m all in on Steem.
47,000 Steem. It ain´t that bad. It´s costed me blood, sweat, tears, a shiton of time and countless effort to be where I am in terms of the Steem amount that I hold. I´m far from being a big player on our blockchain, but I´m definitely in a nice place. Could I be in a better spot and holding more Steem? Probably, but that´s water under the bridge.
The point is, I could be selling my Steem if I wanted, but the reality is I know it will be worth a lot more in a few years.
I still trust our blockchain and our coin, do you?
Then why are you not stacking more Steem?
Every Steem sold at $0.40 is $100 dollars wasted in 2023. Keep that in mind evrey time you feel like selling.
