We all know that Google shafts its creators. It doesn't pay its YouTubers what they deserve and if it decides that their content doesn't represent its corporate values, it doesn't pay them at all. This is the kind of treatment that many cannabis content creators are facing on other platforms. There is, however, a better place for these people who just want to write and make videos about their passion and that place is Steemit.
Steemit allows the people, not the corporations, to decide what content is marketable and this is great for cannabis content creators. We know that, while governments and corporations are behind the times on weed, most people (in the West, at least) support reforming marijuana laws and many partake in its use themselves. On Steemit, these people can now follow their passion and if their content is good and resonates with people they can find success. Clearly Steemit is the next great frontier for cannabis content creation.
The budding economy of cryptocurrency is also a great place for cannabis enthusiasts to take root and moving there is a poke in the eye to the banks who have spurned them. While continuing to grow, the legal cannabis industry is still being mistreated by the American banking industry. By moving more cannabis content creators into the world of cryptocurrency (by bringing them to Steemit, for example) we give the banks a middle finger and we tell them to change their unfair practices or lose business to a new and flourishing market.
