Steem and the five laws of Gold!!!
Hello friends,
Not so long ago. I finished reading a timeless classic written by George S. Clason "THE RICHEST MAN IN BABYLON" .The Book talks about creating, keeping and growing your personal wealth using simple yet effective principles illustrated by the parables found in the book, so far it has been an eye opener. If you have not read this book,i highly recommend it to you if you have read it, i encourage you to read it again .
Since the knowledge gained from it demands application. I began applying the "Five laws of Gold" to my steem Wallet
- LAW 1
Gold cometh gladly and in increasing quantity to any man who will put by not less than one-tenth of his earnings to create an estate for his future and that of his family.
I started saving 10% of all my earnings using the " Savings feature " found in the steem wallet and will continue to do so for a period of twelve months apart from the satisfaction and pleasure of seeing my Steem and SBDs grow from nut to a giant oak tree in the future, the Savings feature also protects you with a three day delay in case a withdrawal action was not initiated by you, enough time to cancel and secure your account . I don't know if the %Apr(Annual percentage rate) function in the wallet works,i guess i will see after a year or so maybe someone with more experience can shed more light on it.
- LAW 2
Gold laboreth diligently and contentedly for the wise owner who finds for it profitable employment, multiplying even as the flocks of the field.
Best example of letting your money work for you in these platform is by investing in Steem power which from my observation translates to increase in Voting Power earning you an increase in author and curation rewards both for self and especially those you choose to upvote as it can also increase their Reputation Score and their wallet balance .That being said, my main aim is to increase my Steempower by powering up every chance i get from the proceeds of quality post/curation,commenting and from conversion of fiat money as well. For more on Steempower check out @Sndbox recent post on why you should power up.
- LAW 3
Gold clingeth to the protection of the cautious owner who invests it under the advice of men wise in its handling.

*LAW 4
Gold slippeth away from the man who invest it in businesses or purposes with which he is not familiar or which are not approved by those skilled in its keep.
Having been burned by a few scams presented to me as opportunities of a lifetime due to me not doing my due diligence in investigating the viability of such schemes.Going forward i will try to mitigate those risks by double checking even triple checking any and all future opportunities and investment programs from those with more insights and experience in it and even when satisfied with the advice only invest what i can comfortably afford to lose because there is always a risk of loss in every investment.
*LAW 5
Gold flees the man who would force it to impossible earnings or who followeth the alluring advice of tricksters and schemers or who trusts it to his own inexperience and romantic desires in investment.
As the saying goes " If it seems too good to be true,it probably is" With people looking to get rich the fastest way possible. It has made it incredibly easier for scammers to come up with sophisticated new ways to separate people from their money with the least risk to themselves using the anonymity of the internet and crypto-transactions to mask their trails. This law draws from the 4th law.
So what do you guys think about my post.If you like posts like these, please show your support by upvoting and resteeming it,thanks for reading. Cheers
