Hello people, while I was roaming through my feeds and blog I became curious, I started asking myself how was this idea conceived. Then I decided to do some online findings about the creators of steemit. Am here to share with the newbies and those that have been here for awhile my findings about how it all started.
THE BEGINNING
The idea for steemit was founded by Daniel Larimer 
But untill Ned made a trip to meet Dan in January 2016, that is when the ideas for Steem started coming up, that's when the decided to make it a reality.
Before Ned travelled to see Dan, Dan was the founder of bitshares(personally I think this helped alot).
THE IDEA
The steemit platform was made to target the problem in the context of social media. The idea was brought out to help those that had good content, good writers, people from all works of life receive calls to their content.
After they might have explored and checked different blockchain-based business models, Ned came up with the idea of putting a community around the Cryptocurrency.
Then steem was born, it was an idea of people helping each other. If another steemian had a problem, they would always be someone out there ready to help(thats how and why we become part of the community).
MARCH 2016
With the help from Dan and other Steemit developer who's experiences of working in the blockchain technology gave them the advantage and knowledge of other existing blockchains, which the combined those technologies with codes that was needed to make steem work nicely.
The Steem blockchain was an idea in January and main-net by end of March.
In March 24, Steem was launched and mining began on Mar 24 17:00:00 GMT.
July 4th
Steem blockchain was pre-coded to give out its first reward on the 4th July. After the 4th of July the price if steem went up by more than expected and it's true potential is yet to be reached.
