How Long Does It Take To Move Steem From Steemit To An Exchange?

I have been waiting several hours now having sent 25 Steem to Poloniex but it doesn't show up in my account. Others seem to be having a similar problem as they have sent SBD to Hive account@poloniex account asking them, "Where is my money?" I have seen several people from hours ago trying to find out about their Steem sent to Hive account@poloniex. This is my first experience with them as I usually use Bittrex but do like the look of POLO better and the navigation makes sense to me but the time to transfer seams a tad long?

Does anyone know if Poloniex the account on Steemit is active? It appears to have a lot of Steem stacked up. Have you been successful at transferring to them? If so how long does it take usually to have your funds ready in their exchange?
