When I first started investing in Steem, it was around $3.00. I believed in it so I dropped a little chunk of change in and wrote. I bought in at $2.50 while writing some more. Then again at $2.00, as I got more confident in my writings but my engagement with others. All the way down to .the almost 800 Steem I grabbed at .33 cents just minutes ago.
Whenever I have a chunk of change that I can (maybe) spare, I have been putting it in and Powering Up. Every cent. Why? Because I believe in what this community can become. Having attended SteemFest a couple of weeks back has reaffirmed and only strengthened those beliefs.
I’ve been more involved in different ways and looking at things a bit differently since then. Yes, the recent updates from paints a slightly grim and not tremendously promising picture...but I’m looking long term. I’m here for the duration. My goal was initially to hit 10k by the end of the year. I’ve now changed that to 15k with 20k by my birthday in February. I’d love to be swimming with the Orcas by Summer of next year.
Maybe my investment will go belly up. I don’t think it will but even if it did, I’ve already found treasure in you guys. The community and friends I’ve made here are some of the greatest rewards that any chain has produced. So in the meantime, I’m going to keep on Steeming. Keep on networking as much as I can. Keep on trying to get noticed...which is still super hard. Keep on thinking of the few ways that I can make an impact, help others, and leave my mark here. Keep on believing in not only the platform, but in myself. Are you with me?!?
