I have only been on Steemit for a little over 2 months now, and while it's not been super perfect...I am overall happy with the results I am receiving. I am active in posting, perhaps a bit more than I should. Still trying to figure out a good balance. I am engaging in comments and replies. Making friends and having some really good conversations here. I am learning or at least trying to learn something about this place daily. Trying my best to curate on the small scale that I can and help new users by throwing some upvotes their way when I see they are trying to take this place somewhat seriously. But the one thing I think I did that was smart???? I invested in a bit of STEEM and Powered Up from the start.
I feel as though this gave me a slight advantage right off the bat. It let others who have been here for some time or those who are crushing it here, know that I am somewhat serious about trying to be a part of the community. It also means that I believe in this platform and that I am investing in myself by Powering Up. That helps in attracting folks to your page to take the time to get to fell you out. At least I think it helps a bit.
Most people don't have a ton of spare cash to throw into volatile crypto but I do strongly recommend to buy some STEEM and Power Up if you are going to give this a real legit chance and pour your all into it. Even if it's 20 dollars worth. Something. Get that slight edge to where you have a bit more power here. It will ultimately help you in earning more for yourself and for others, hence...helping the platform grow and prosper.
With the market bleeding the way it has been the last few days, I decided to throw a bit more into it today and bought a bit over 500 STEEM to Power Up with. I had a nice little chunk of change from selling some personal comics and statues and bought a few other coins but put 75% into STEEM again today. It is one of the few that will actually pay me a "dividend" sort of....by earning more STEEM...as long as I kick a bit of ass here.
My goal is to ultimately get to "dolphin" status here in a year from when I started. I still have a long way to go but I am on my way. I would love to get to the point where I can help others grow daily here while building for my future. I will be using opportunities like today's low prices as a stepping stone to help get there.
Long time users...what's your opinion? Do you guys still purchase STEEM in these moments? New users, have you or are you considering purchasing a bit to give you a bit of Power here? Let me know what you think!
