I’m Kimlyn (Boldspeaker)! I am artistic, entrepreneurial, information rich, respectful, compassionate and deliberate in life. I am in love with my art and my new Crypto Hustle!
When I was nine years old, I started my first business. Handmade doll socks! They were all the rage. I cornered the market! I was the only kid in the neighborhood selling baby doll socks in a teenage community of Barbie doll clothes makers. I was an innovator! My first sale was $50.00 from my next-door neighbor Yvette. My profit was staggering, my excitement through the roof, and then after sharing my largest and first ever sock order with my mom I was scolded and told to give the money back to Yvette’s mom. Yvette was only five years old.! It was here that the entrepreneurial spirit hit me.
It was when I turned eleven years old when I realized that competition is tough when you must compete with adults, because you had to go inside when the street lights came on. I started a trash service where I would knock on my neighbor’s doors at dusk the day before the trash truck came by and ask to take out their trash for a quarter. Business was great, until the grown-up hustlers stepped in; you know like the guys that wash the windows on your car kind of hustlers. Competition got tough, but I created new opportunities year after year.
I was an early adopter and serial entrepreneur from my early childhood, through college and now I own a small full service graphic design and printing company in addition to a family owned online shopping portal. I’ve learned a lot over the years and have so much to share.
My Goals here on Steemit are to support other entrepreneurs and women business owners, and those who aspire to become innovators, but need moral support, because it takes a village!
I am here to blog honestly about the realities of life’s journeys as a corporate escapee, small business owner, artist, life coach and all around comedic know it all and cryptocurrency investor.
