Anyone else struggle with the fact that they feel that they have much better content than the Makeup Tutorials, or people traveling the world, or contest promoter. WELL IT'S TIME WE GET OVER OURSELVES!
What I've learned for the first 3 weeks of being on Steemit is that I AM NOT A PROFESSIONAL BLOGGER, nor do I want to be.
Sure, you have those who have built in followings on other networks that can just bring people over for upvotes galore. But I have had to struggle to find my niche. Like I said, I am not a professional blogger. I enjoy reading them...just not writing them.
I've been chasing the money!
It's so hard not to. When I see people pulling in globs of it on some crazy things, I can't help but want a piece of the pie. But, I know that this isn't supposed to be about the money. But, what is it about? There is really, at this time anyway, no rhyme or reason to what content is making money. It's a little all over the place. Which brings me to this...
My time will come!
As #steemit matures, so will I as a content creator. Right now, all of my content is created outside of steemit then placed on steemit to show off I guess. It seems as of now, the community isn't responding to this type of stuff. I've posted painting and books that I've written with very little response. In most of my posts I've just been looking for honest critique of my work. But again...very little response. In time, this type of content should become a little more attractive to the guys with all the power. Or at least I hope so. Because again, I am not a BLOGGER!
