For the last few days, whenever I upvote anyone's post, including my own, they immediately get about 2 cents worth of steem rewards.
I find it quite a rush to see a post that has maybe 3-6 upvotes ahead of mine, with a zero figure for the payout, go to 2 cents when I click.
I'm hardly a whale -- only have like 600 in steem power, but this instant gratification is highly addictive.
You don't have to post to make money with the Steem blockchain. You can invest in a little bit of Steem Power and upvote. So if you've managed to secure an account before this waiting period that started today, keep in mind you can profit with steem in many ways, including becoming the local gateway to the Steem economy!
