While most hardcore cryptocurrency proponents are turning a frown upside down by buying into the weakness, I can't help but notice an undeniably negative consequence should the STEEM altcoin in particular not jump out of its doldrums.
With our portfolio value gutted by roughly half from just a few weeks ago, newcomers are going to find it extremely difficult to stay motivated. Thus, we'll have more members, but a very small allocation will be daily or monthly users.
Most will just try out the Steemit network, and leave. Let's face it: who's going to put hours of effort into something that will just generate pennies?
Unless, of course, you start botting...which brings me back full circle to my last topic! :)
