Burrows Birds are typical brasal birds of medium-sized Java (20-25 cm). has a brown-beige upper fur to a black-toed gray. The outer part of the tail feather is blackish with the white tip. The small head is gray, the fur on the neck and the wings are smooth black stripes. The part around the eyes without hair is gray to blue. The middle beak is a bluish gray. Leg of the type paserin (perch) red to pink old.
The breeding season is September - June in Peninsular Malaysia, mid-February to late May in the Philippines and October in Borneo. Nest is placed on trees or shrubs.
