I've been drinking this energy drink that comes in small sachet packs, its brand name is "Extra Joss" which really a delight for my taste although of course I could not or should not have much of it because of its potentially harmful ingredients like the Caffeine and the artificial sweetener.
So I just take it at dialysis during meal times in which I believe most of it is washed by dialysis process. I do like the flavor of it plus the fizziness that comes with it when I drink, the bubbliness is not that so strong but pleasant enough to give me some pleasant experience in drinking it.
I couldn't have much bubbly drink at dialysis because the nurses wouldn't want to put my legs down or at least put me in a sitting position so I can burp as it is difficult for me to burp considering that I am lying down always when being treated so I do not want something that will make me feel discomfort otherwise it will affect my blood pressure for sure.
Idea To Make A Fizzy Drink
Here I had learned on how to make a fizzy drink, we just basically need a little Sodium Bicarbonate (not Baking Soda) Sugar to taste, and fruit acid source like Lemon, Lime, or our local lemon here that is called a "Calamansi."
Well I haven't tried this one yet but I have the idea. The Sodium bicarbonate and acid forms carbon dioxide which makes the water fizzy or effervescent. But here's the thing, we just don't have to put much Sodium Bicarbonate or it will taste bitter so we just have to put in maybe 1/4 teaspoon per a good amount of citrus juice to overpower the bitterness of the sodium bicarbonate plus sugar to make it good-stating.
Also, carbon dioxide dissolves better in a cooler water so we may have to use cold and maybe already sweetened water before adding it to the sodium bicarbonate and lemon/lime juice mix.
Again I haven't made this kind of drink but if our local lemon would be available i will just have to try it because we already have some sodium bicarbonate that I told my mother to buy because it is the one I would like to use instead of baking soda because baking soda has components that is injurious to my bones as it has aluminum that again weakens the bones, etc.
If only my favorite energy drink has not much chemicals like Aspartame or other phosphate ingredients then I might have been drinking it frequently but it has those unwanted ingredients by my body so I just have to control myself since I might hurt myself too in the process. I will soon try the sodium bicarbonate and maybe it might turn out to be good, I just maybe have to use more lemon/lime juice and sugar and also keeping in mind the use of a cooler water to let the carbon dioxide dissolve more in the water making it more fizzy and delicious to drink.
