That factor was the community support for the individuals that did win. I personally feel that without the community being involved as a whole across Steemit, the nurturing and growth of this blockchain would be stifled. Even if I hadn't won, I would have applauded Hive account@roelandp or Hive account@andrarchy or Hive account@ned or whoever ultimately is footing the bill, for bowing to the will of the masses. I didn't see anyone else coughing up 5 round trip tickets, did you? I almost feel insulted that you or anyone, would pick apart such an act of good will and kindness.
